HAGGAI

After the Jews returned from exile in Babylon, they began to rebuild the temple that had been destroyed. They completed the foundation relatively quickly, but then the work ground to halt, and no further progress was made for roughly 16 years. At that point God sent the prophets Haggai and Zechariah to stir the people into action, so the temple could be completed. The message of Haggais very relevant today, especially in situations where the spiritual work of building the Church is not progressing as it should. Haggai’s message includes both challenges and encouragements for God’s people who are in that situation.
